Blizzard just unveiled the newest Hearthstone expansion, Mean Streets Of Gadgetzan. This expansion brings a few crazy new mechanics including triple class cards and the ability to create your own spell. At Blizzcon’s Opening Ceremony and the following panel, we got a chance to see a few of the cards from the newest set.
The expansion revolves around three gangs that each get a special set of cards, playable by three classes; the Grimy Goons (Hunter, Paladin, Warrior), Kabal (Mage, Priest, Warlock) and The Jade Lotus (Druid, Rogue, Shaman). The Hearthstone team created a whole world for Gadgetzan, creating whole buildings to represent each gang. There will be nine of these cards in this set, three for each class.
The Grimy Goons feel tough and angry, the Jade Lotus feel like they belong in Pandaria and the Kabal are very mystical, covered in ancient ruins and powerful magic. These gangs fit perfectly in the always-nighttime world the Hearthstone designers tried so hard to create.
Mean Streets Of Gadgetzan rolls out in December.
