Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was the best shooter in 2007. Almost 10 years later, it still remains the best shooter ever from the Call of Duty franchise. You don't have to take my word for it – just watch the latest multiplayer trailer!
For the veteran Call of Duty fans, the latest Modern Warfare Remastered multiplayer trailer is sweet nostalgia. While Remastered might cause the new Modern Warfare to sound like nothing more than a cheap port of an old game, Activision has completely revamped the new game with new graphics and UI.
The trailer begins with an epic killstreak executed at Overgrown. After a sniper's savage headshot through a barn door, I couldn't help but smile at the tender moment the character took to give his rifle a gentle caress for a job well done (no innuendo here, guys).
Next, the action brings us to what looks like Strike (sorry if I'm wrong, but I haven't played MW in a while), where we look through the scope of a fan favorite: the ACR assault rifle. A car explosion triggered by a grenade takes out two guys for a really nice multi-kill.
Last but not least, the official Call of Duty Twitter shared the best news we could hope for:
All 16 Modern Warfare MP maps are coming to all #MWRemastered owners. That’s 10 #MWRemastered maps at launch and 6 maps coming in December.
