The Season of the Drifter is coming to a close, and the folks over at Bungie are getting ready to drop the next wave of content releases and balance changes. In the Season of Opulence, Destiny 2's seventh season, get ready for new gear, new quests, new cosmetics, new activities, and an all-new challenging raid environment.
The Season of Opulence is knocking on the door of Destiny 2 players around the world, and as the last unveiled content drop for the year, it's sure to bring with it a ton of exciting changes and additions. The highlight of the season is, of course, the new Crown of Sorrow raid, which will drop on Day One of the Season of Opulence. However, players are also eagerly awaiting the new Menagerie game mode, which is meant to be a cooperative PvE game mode where players face off against hordes of enemies and powerful elites to earn rewards. Menagerie will be a matchmaking activity for up to six players.
Like with past seasons, the Season of Opulence will also introduce several balance changes and gameplay improvements to the game. Power level caps will be increased, and players will once again be given Power Surge bounties to help them more easily attain end-game capabilities to challenge the newest raid, Crown of Sorrow. Alongside these changes will be a handful of buffs and nerfs to several pieces of equipment. For the full list of changes that players can expect when Season of Opulence drops, feel free to read through the official Bungie developer blog here.
For players who want to expand their wardrobes and armories, the Season of Opulence also comes with brand new equipment for players to collect. Apart from the new raid gear that will drop as rewards in Crown of Sorrow, players will also be able to enjoy a handful of powerful new weapons and equipment.
