Its official, the highly anticipated Destroy All Humans! remake will be coming to PC on July 28. And worry not, the game will be available on Steam. You can even pre-order the game right now for $30. This is big news for the remake, as no other game in the Destroy All Humans franchise has ever gotten a PC release. The Destroy All Humans! remake will also launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Stadia on the same date.
Destroy All Humans! (2020) is a complete remake of the original title which was released back in 2005. The original was only available on PlayStation 2 and Xbox. This original game had some strong sales and was also able to spawn three more games. Who knows, if this remake does well then maybe there is a chance that other Destroy All Humans! games will also get the same treatment.
Destroy All Humans! let you play as an extraterrestrial alien named Crypto, which is short for Cryptosporidium 137. The game takes place in the United States during the late 50s and lets you do all kinds of crazy things. Imagine GTA, but your character is an outer space alien. You can destroy humans (duh), create mayhem across the city, fly in your UFO, copy the character model of other NPCs, and much more. You also have psychokinesis abilities that you can use to make those puny humans fly.
Just like GTA, the game has a wanted mechanic. Crypto is also equipped with several cool alien weapons like the Zap-O-Matic and Anal Probe. I don’t really want to know what the latter one does, but it does sound pretty self-explanatory.
As mentioned above, the Destroy All Humans! remake is available for pre-order on Steam. By pre-ordering the game you get an exclusive Skin Pack which will give you cool skins like ‘King of Rock and Roll’ and ‘Evil Clown’. The remake of the game also contains the new ‘Lost Mission of Area 42’.
