This simple Barbarian guide for Diablo IV aims to help players know what they should be focusing on when journeying through Sanctuary as the classic melee powerhouse. Blizzard

Diablo IV's Barbarian class has been the bread and butter for most of the franchise's fans throughout the history of the series.

This melee character has a simple and straightforward plan of action, attack. However, this simplicity sometimes tricks players into thinking that Barbarians are always easy to use or are a one-trick wonder.

Diablo IV Barbarian Guide

This guide aims to help players learn everything they should know before starting a Barbarian character, including builds, abilities, and playstyles.

This class specializes in using Bleed to kill enemies over a period of time and features a unique weapon-swapping mechanic.

The latter means that they get access to more Legendary powers than other classes in Diablo IV. To start off, a build that is great at leveling is a great starter character for players who are just going through their first run through Sanctuary, according to Polygon.

Some of the best skills for gaining levels as a Barbarian include Hammer of the Ancients, Frenzy, Death Blow, Rallying Cry, Leap, and Wrath of the Berserker. The next thing you should know is which weapon expertise you should put skills into as a leveling Barbarian.

The preferred choice here is to place the two-handed sword in your Technique slot, which will cause all of your Hammer of the Ancients damage to cause enemies to Bleed.

When you first make your character, there are three dungeons you should complete first to get their Aspects.

These are the Sunken Ruins, the Underroot, and the Oldstones that will give you the Aspect of Ancestral Force, Aspect of Expectant, and Edgemaster's Aspect, respectively. These give various bonuses that make your leveling journey music easier and faster.

What To Focus On

Talking about the Paragon Board, this is a feature that is unlocked at level 50 and lets you continue building your Barbarian to level 100.

What you should focus on as a melee damage dealer are the Starting, Blood Rage, Decimator, Warbringer, and Flawless Technique boards, said Dexerto.

When choosing what items to equip as a Barbarian, you should be working for an endgame loadout that includes the Runic set for your helm, chest armor, gloves, pants, and boots.

For weapons, try to get the Bonebreaker of Fierce Winds and Windslasher Demonblade for your main hand and offhand, respectively.

Legendary tempering augments power up your character even more and there are two that are essential for Barbarians to enhance their builds. These are Barbarian Protection and Furious Augments, according to ScreenRant.
