The original Dishonored may have been a short experience, but the game was so dense it basically required multiple playthroughs to see everything in Dunwall. If you wanted more Dishonored, it seems the sequel will take more time to complete.
According to Harvey Smith, the co-creative director at Arkane, the studio was aiming at a 12-15 hour gameplay experience for players. After doing a test run, Smith noted that it took him 15 hours to complete the game on hard with low chaos.
So what will that mean for you, the average player? It will probably take you a little longer on your first playthrough, especially if you start on hard difficulty. Smith has the advantage of knowing what’s going on in the game, whereas you’ll have no clue your first time through.
In other Dishonored 2 news, a new trailer has been released showing Corvo in action. The trailer, which can be watched above, shows Corvo as the older man he now is. Despite his aging appearance, Corvo hasn’t slowed down a bit, as we can see him pulling off all sorts of acrobatic moves and devastating kills.
Interestingly enough, we see Corvo in action without his trademark mask in the trailer. What implication could this have? No idea. Guess we’ll just have to wait to play the game for ourselves to find out.
Dishonored 2 comes to PS4, Xbox One and PC on Nov. 11.
So what do you think? Are you excited to know Dishonored 2 is a longer game than the original Dishonored? Will you play as Emily, Corvo or play through twice to see both stories? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
