Want to blast through DOOM at maximum power, but don’t feel like putting in the time to level up? We’ve got just the glitch for you! Using a glitch found by YouTube channel MinistryOfGeeks, you can glitch your way to having all the Argent Cells you need.
For those who haven’t played DOOM yet, or are unfamiliar with Argent Cells, they are small glowing orbs you can collect during the single-player campaign. Once found, you can choose to upgrade either your total health, your armor or the ammo capacity you can carry.
To do this, you must first make it to level eight, Advanced Research Complex. Once you start this mission, follow these steps:
Start the level, walk into one of the bathrooms and climb up into an open air vent
Crawl through the air vent, drop down and open a door in front of you using a terminal
Find the Argent Cell station in the room you just opened and interact with it
Enter the upgrade menu, and upgrade one of the three categories (It doesn’t matter which ones you choose)
Right after you have upgraded a choice, pull up the pause menu
In the pause menu, select Load Checkpoint and accept it
Go back through the bathroom to the Argent Cell station and choose a new upgrade
Repeat as necessary
Unfortunately this technique will not help you immediately, seeing as how this takes place on level eight. By this point in the game, you may already find yourself pretty powered up. This glitch will get you to max strength though, so consider using it on a second playthrough or something if you just want to have fun.
