The Winter Season of Dota 2's Pro Circuit 2021 is upon us this week. Valve announced on their blog: "In preparation for the season we’ve revamped the in-client watching experience and you’ll find a ton of new ways to watch and follow along." With the upcoming client update, new and improved features to Dota 2's in-client watching experience will give fans better access to actions as they unfold.
The update provides players with more control over their viewing experience with sub-tabs that feature: Home, Schedule, and Standings. This revamp organizes the "messy" Pro Circuit experience, which fans have been complaining about for years. Dota 2's new Watch tab allows players to view comprehensive schedules of current and upcoming matches. It also allows them to meticulously stay on top of their favorite team's standing in the circuit. Additionally, the DPC app lets players stay on top of the action using their mobile devices, both Android and iOS.
Along with the changes to the viewer experience, Dota 2 will also have a more interactive way of showing your support for your favorite teams with new content coming soon. Fans will be able to buy content packages like in-game effects, sprays, emotes, loading screens, and chat-wheel lines. Competing teams are continuing to submit ideas to Valve so that players get unique content based on their purchases.
The developers expressed their excitement for the next coming months with their recent updates. To stay up to date with the Pro Circuit outside the client, they provided a list of the live games grouped by region on their developer blog.
