EVE Online brings out the inner romantic in its players with the Guardian’s Gala in-game event. Is this event about finding space dates? Of course not, it’s way more romantic than that: a assault on pirates!
Starting today and running to Feb. 27, the Guardian’s Gala event will allow players to team up with the police force of New Eden to run attacks on the underworld organizations and drug cartels run by Serpentis Corporation. Raids will require quick thinking and optimal strategies to make it though, so be sure to bring your A-game against these criminals. The Guardian’s Gala raids are accessible via The Agency.
The New Eden store will also celebrate Valentine’s Day with two exclusive items: the Eros Blossom Fireworks and Eros Blossom skin for select hulls will be available for purchase. The Eros Blossom skin is available for the Aeon, Wyvern, Thanatos, Nidhoggur, Dramiel, Cynabal and Machariel. The items will be available for the duration of the event.
Along with the Guardian’s Gala event, a new EVE Online update also introduces significant changes to Citadels with Upwell Structures 2.0. “In response to CSM and community feedback, we’ve made sizable quality-of-life improvements to Upwell structures in New Eden,” Paul Elsy, a community manager for EVE Online, said in a press statement. “With these changes, capsuleers across the cluster will benefit from more balanced reinforcement timers, improved structure takedown and combat mechanics, as well as more evenly scaled reinforcement and destruction mechanics.”
More information on Upwell Structures 2.0 can be found in this blog post from EVE Online’s developers. Additionally, the full patch notes from the update released today can be found right here. The long list of updates and bug fixes are too big to be listed here, so make sure you give it a read.
