Fallout 4 Xbox One mods caused a massive spike in traffic when they were released yesterday, eclipsing the launch of mods on PC. This news comes from a tweet from Bethesda.

If you want to install mods for yourself, follow our helpful guide.

As Bethesda mentioned above, there was 50 times the amount of traffic from Xbox One mods compared to when PC mods launched. That being said, there were 900 mods available for Xbox One at launch, while the PC mods selection was much, much smaller.

Regardless, it still shows the interest console gamers have for mods. Fallout 4 is the first major game to offer mods for consoles, but with this response, it will not be the last. It also represents 15 years of hard work from Bethesda to get where modding is today.

Bethesda also mentioned in the tweet that Fallout 4 mods are in the works for PS4. There hasn’t been any release information on PS4’s mods as of yet, but Bethesda is sure to announce a beta first, like they did with Xbox One, before full support is released.

As for the “new features” teased in the tweet, we have no idea what could be coming next for Fallout 4 and mods. This could be anything from new ways of finding mods on your console to an expanded storage space for mods. As of right now, players can only use up to 2GB of mods at any one time.

So what do you think? Are you excited to see mods finally make it to console games? What other features do you hope get added to Fallout 4? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
