One of the bigger complaints from sports gamers are the lack of attention brought to the last-gen consoles ever since the release of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Many around the word are still chugging along with a PlayStation 3 or a Xbox 360, but are largely forgotten by the big game companies. Thankfully, EA Sports has continued to cater to those last-gen sports fans and have announced the features for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of FIFA 17 .
Obviously, some of the features for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game cannot be brought over to the PS3 or Xbox 360. The big news for fans of FIFA on those last-gen consoles are the game modes that would be offered for those users. Here is a list of the game modes that will be available upon FIFA 17’s release:
- FIFA Ultimate Team including Squad Building Challenges
- Career Mode
- Be a Pro Player
- Be a Pro Goalkeeper
- Tournament Mode
- Women's International Cup
- Online Seasons
- Online Friendlies
- Skill Games
- Kick-Off
- Play Next Fixture
- Practice Arena
The mode that has fans talking are Squad Building Challenges inside FIFA Ultimate Team. While building your Ultimate Team seems easy, getting the chemistry of that team perfect is the major challenge. Squad Building Challenges gives users the chance to participate in three different challenges to build the chemistry of your team: Basic, Advanced or League. For example, you may be asked to build a team consisting of only players from just two countries. Accomplishing that tasks could result in new player packs, coins or other rewards for the user to make his team even better going into more challenges.
Another significant addition to the last-gen version of FIFA 17 are the new attacking techniques within gameplay . Downward Headers and new finishes near the net are among some of the various moves EA added to the game this year. Along with attack changes are new set plays , which include new animations for corner kicks, free kicks and throw-ins. This was done to give players more freedom leading up to the kick, including the run-up to the ball or even changing the angles of those plays.
Finally, the presentation of the FIFA 17 is improved even more as EA added new fan chants, including the Icelandic Clap, and three new stadiums ( West Ham’s Olympic Stadium, Middlesborough's Riverside Stadium and Gamba Osaka's Suita City Football Stadium) to add to its already loaded selection of stadiums. Teams from the J-League (Japan) and Brazilian teams will be included in this edition, as well as the national women’s teams from Norway and the Netherlands,
FIFA 17 is set for release on September 27th for all consoles. What features are you looking forward to inside FIFA 17? What consoles will you be playing the game on? Let us know in our comment section.
