FIFA 22 is arriving worldwide on October 1 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. Next-gen versions are offered as well for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
Making it to the cover of FIFA 22 is Kylian Mbappé, the striker of Paris Saint-Germain. This is his second year in a row to be on the game’s cover. In a statement, Mbappé said that he has had a special relationship when it comes to the game and is excited to enjoy playing this new one with many players.
Game Features
FIFA 22 features more than 17,000 players spread across at least 700 teams. There’s also access to more than 90 stadiums and about 30 leagues.
The game continues to have many of the popular modes in the series but improved with deep and innovative features. Career Mode, for example, now offers a new Create a Club experience. While VOLTA FOOTBALL comes with a reimagined gameplay. There's also the FIFA Ultimate Team Heroes. Players can also look forward to the goalkeeper system rebuild, which brings more consistent and distinct personalities between the posts.
HyperMotion Technology
FIFA 22 is powered by HyperMotion which comes with Advanced 11v11 Match Capture and combined with EA's proprietary machine learning technology. This results in the most fluid, responsive, and realistic football experience, especially in next-gen consoles.
What this new technology does is integrate what can be described as the first-ever motion capture at high-intensity of 22 professional footballers playing. Meanwhile, EA’s algorithm can learn from the millions of frames of advanced match capture and then write new animations in real-time, thus creating organic football movement.
EA Sports FIFA GM Nick Wlodyka revealed that each player's gameplay experience is unique though the on-pitch gameplay is usually the unifying constant. He added that with HyperMotion, the feel of the game is changed completely while also elevating it to the next level.
Preorder for the game is now available, and those who preorder FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition by August 11 get an untradeable FUT Heroes player item. The Ultimate Edition also has several goodies like FIFA Points, four days Early Access, and Dual Entitlement.
