There are tons of quests that players can complete in "Final Fantasy XVI" that task players with getting various items or completing different objectives.

One of the quest lines in the game is the Blacksmith's Blues, which, at some point, will task you with beating the Dozmare griffin. This particularly aggressive winged beast is a challenging hunt for any adventurer worth their salt.

Fortunately, this guide offers some tips and tricks that you should keep in mind if you are trying to complete this particular quest line in "Final Fantasy XVI." Remember these tips and tricks to make your hunting sessions go by more smoothly.

How To Find Dozmare the Griffin

In order to fight Dozmare, you will have to know where this particular Griffin is located, which the board description says is in Caer Norvent West Gate. However, there is no such place that is marked on the Sanbreque map, according to Eurogamer.

There is also a description that claims Doamzre can be found somewhere between Lostwing and Caer Norvent.

But the Griffin's actual location is the southeastern corner of Norvent Valley. Players can get to this area by following the southern route of Lostwing Village.

You need to go to the very end of the path in order to trigger Dozmare swooping down to start an encounter with you.

Tips for Fighting Dozmare

When you finally start the battle with this winged beast, you will notice that the Griffin behaves similarly to other medium-sized winged beasts. It has a swipe attack when you are in close range, and it can also dive from the skies to strike you, IGN said.

You are also not safe even when you keep your distance from Dozmare, as the Griffin can shoot wind magic at you that goes in a straight line. It is also worth noting that the areas these land on will spawn lingering tornadoes that can damage you as well.

Reducing the enemy's health low will cause it to use Noble Dive, which is the same as a regular high dive but will also create a wind shockwave when it hits the ground.

The good thing about this fight is that the Griffin's attacks are telegraphed, giving you enough time to dodge.

Rewards for Beating Dozmare

When you take down Dozmare, you will be given plentiful rewards for your first hunt of this winged beast. Players will get 650 experience points and 55 ability points, and you will also get one meteorite and one Scarletite as drops, according to Dual Shockers.
