The Flash gets darker with each episode, but Cisco Ramon always adds a playful vibe (pun intended) even when the most wicked supervillains are threatening Central City. Warning: 'The Flash' Season 2 spoilers! Now STAR Labs’ resident dork has a more integral role than ever before. After Barry traded his speed for Wally’s life in last night’s episode, “Versus Zoom,” Cisco is the only one on Team Flash that has metahuman abilities. He’s so powerful, he can open breaches throughout the multiverse. The CW is finally celebrating this fan-favorite geek turned metahuman and now he has his own web series, The Chronicles of Cisco.
Ever wonder what Cisco is up to when he’s not helping save Central City? Turns out, he works around the clock. The episode sees Cisco working late at night in the lab to make Barry’s Flash suit bulletproof (and modify his speedster anti-perspirant formula because apparently Barry’s suit reeks). While he works, he listens to hip hop and talks to himself. Jay Garrick’s (aka Zoom) helmet is sitting there in the corner “watching him.” Cisco tells himself over and over again not to vibe Zoom’s interdimensional cap again, but for some reason he can’t get the thought out of his head. He eventually has to cover it with cloth to resist. Then Cisco falls fast asleep at his desk while patching the bullet hole in Barry’s suit desk when his STAR Labs metahuman tracker goes off. Who could it be? Will Cisco have to face this meta by himself in the next webisode?
Hopefully each short installment will explore one of Cisco’s new gadgets, give us hints about his uncharted abilities or reveal clues about his past. So far, the CW’s website has one episode scheduled each Tuesday until May 10. It was recently revealed Cisco’s Earth-2 brother, Rupture (Dante Ramon’s Earth-2 doppelganger), will come to Earth-1 to get justice for Reverb’s death. Cisco is bound to learn more about the full extent of his abilities in the few episodes left before the finale.
