Savitar took even Barry by surprise in last night’s episode of The Flash . Barry’s speed is no match for the ‘god of motion’ with bright blue eyes dressed in crazy transformer armor. It appears Alchemy may actually be Savitar’s puppet -- a distraction all along. It’s not really clear yet if Savitar is a man in a suit, an actual god, an alien, or hell even a robot. He certainly doesn’t resemble Savitar from the comics -- a bare-chested man with long, curly hair and a gold mask. But one thing is for sure: Reverse-Flash and Zoom are villains of the week compared to this guy. Barry’s got some serious training to do if he wants to have a even the slightest chance against this big bad. Savitar is an expert of velocity and has mastered powers the average speedster has never dreamed of, and because we’re all wondering, here’s the powers Savitar has that Reverse-Flash, Zoom and Barry don’t (yet).
Invisibility
Dude is fast. When Savitar first showed himself, we see him from Barry’s perspective. But when the camera shifts over to Joe as Alchemy is holding Barry up against the wall, Savitar nowhere to be seen. This means he’s somehow phasing so fast, not even Joe can see him.
The Suit
Is Savitar a real god, an alien, a metahuman, or just a dude in a super suit? Whatever the case, he’s very intimidating--like a speedster version of Megatron. The armor appears to give him superhuman strength and stamina. Cisco better hook Barry up with a suit upgrade.
Healing
Savitar can heal himself, but not via cellular regeneration. He actually uses the speed force.
Freeze!
Because Savitar can absorb and manipulate speed, this means he has the ability to slow down and speed up objects and people.
Force Field
Before Wally could defeat Savitar, he had to master many new abilities, one of which was creating a null-inertia force field.
Power Distribution
Savitar powered a whole group of minion ninjas with his own speed in the comics. He can also take it away, though. Get ready for another day of Barry moping around without his powers.
Earth Bender?
Savitar seemingly created an Earthquake with his speed before showing himself in Alchemy’s lair. Looks like he can create some sort of vibrational waves using the speed force.
We’ll have to wait and see if Barry learns any of Savitar’s crazy (awesome) abilities. The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
