The Flash Season 3 episode 14, “Attack on Central City,” might have been the best episode of the season. Grodd vs. Solovar was one of the craziest matchups we’ve seen so far on the series. On top of that, West-Allen is now official after Iris said yes to Barry’s marriage proposal. Jesse Quick is moving to Earth-1. To top it all off, Vibe and Gypsy seem to have a romance brewing. But Savitar is here to take all that happiness away in The Flash Season 3 episode 15, “The Wrath of Savitar.”
Wally has delusions of Savitar (who is not in a CGI costume) and by the end of the new promo, Savitar appears to have possessed him. He says, “I have what I need to escape my hell.” Then, a portal, which looks to be the speed force, opens and Savitar crawls out it on his hands and knees.
What’s potentially more terrifying than Iris’ impending death is Wally’s fate. After all, Savitar did give Wally his speed. Savitar could be using Kid Flash’s power to get himself out of the speed force, or he’ll make Kid Flash free him by possessing his mind, like he did with Dr. Alchemy. Foreshadowing has suggested Kid Flash’s connection to the speed force may be even stronger, and his speed even faster, than Barry’s. It will be interesting to see how that’s incorporated into the later portion of the season.
