The Flash Season 3 introduces yet another speedster: Accelerated Man. He's from Earth-19 and has an awesome costume. Cisco finally gets the kiss he's been waiting for. And last but not least, Barry finds a way to make Iris his forever.
RECAP: The Flash Season 3 episode 14, "Attack on Central City."
Barry and the team think they are in the clear with Grodd, until Gypsy suddenly appears through a breach and attacks them in STAR Labs. But the last Gypsy remembers, she was on Earth-2 hunting down a fugitive. Cisco quickly realizes Grodd mind controlled her, using her to open a breach to Earth-1 with his gorilla army. Cisco vibes the location of Grodd’s attack on Central City, but they don’t find him in time because Grodd mind controls Joe to shoot himself. Thankfully, The Flash moves him out of the way in time before the bullet pushes through his temple.
Back at STAR Labs, Harry and Cisco put a magnet helmet on Joe to read Grodd’s memories, which allows him to draw a picture of the human Grodd is disguised as, an air force general in control of the military’s nuclear missiles. Barry heads to the military base and finds missiles ready to detonate on Central City. The only way Team Flash could think of to stop it was for Barry to try every combination possible. As soon as he enters the correct combination, Grodd and his army begin their attack. Harry reminds the team “there is always another way” after Barry tells Iris he intends to kill Grodd.
Vibe travels to a snowy, beautiful Earth-19 to beg Gypsy for help. She eventually agrees because she has feelings for him, and they show up in Central City with Solovar just as Kid Flash, The Flash and Jesse Quick can’t take much more. Solovar defeats Grodd and claims Gorilla City’s throne. Gypsy vibes all the gorillas back to Gorilla City, except for Grodd, who is in ARGUS custody. Oh, and Barry and Iris are getting married. Gypsy gives Cisco and kiss and tells him he’ll “never be able to handle her.”
EASTER EGG: We get a quick cameo from Earth-19’s version of Flash, called Accelerated Man (played by Sean Poague). His costume is absolutely amazing. A white scarf covers almost all of his face and he’s got a retro goggles. H.R. Wells described a war on Earth-19 called ‘World War M’ earlier this season. He said it was organized by himself and The Flash on his Earth. Maybe that’s who he was speaking of.
