Team Flash will go up against Alchemy in The Flash Season 3 episode 6, “Shade,” but Caitlin Snow has some personal problems of her own. She's quickly turning into ‘Killer’ Frost. In an attempt to figure out if her destiny is that of a killer or a hero, Caitlin asks Vibe to reveal her future. In doing so, Cisco discovers Caitlin’s destiny is indeed Killer Frost. But instead of telling her, he decides to keep it a secret and encourage her she’ll never become her evil counterpart.
A clip showing the future vision displays a power we have not yet seen Vibe use up close. During a battle between the two former friends, Killer Frost throws a sharp icicle, but Vibe uses his vibrational power to send a sonic blast and break apart the ice before it hits him.
It’ll be interesting to see if Cisco decides to share this information with Barry and the rest of the team even though Caitlin told him to keep it a secret. Season 3 episode 7 is titled, “Killer Frost,” suggesting we’ll see Caitlin’s story arc pick up speed then. Between Cisco and her mother, hopefully Caitlin can find a way to keep her powers without altering her personality.
Another scene from tonight’s episode, “Shade,’ reveals Barry comes out and tells Wally he had powers in Flashpoint after he starts getting visions of the future from Alchemy. Wally then accuses Joe of favoriting Barry over him, and says it’s because nobody trusts him to become a Flash. Photos from the episode show Wally and Joe face-to-face with Alchemy.
