"The Red Woman" opens with a shot of Jon Snow’s body as his direwolf Ghost howls at his body. Ghost tries to unlock his cage, but fails. Ser Davos hears Ghost’s howls and heads outside. He immediately notices Snow’s lifeless body. Snow’s loyal brothers gather by his side and bring him into a room. Jon’s friend Edd tells Davos the only people he can trust are in the room with him. Melisandre knocks on his door. She knows what has happened and repeats how she saw him in the flames battling at Winterfell.
Alliser Throne holds a meeting explaining why he killed Jon Snow. He asks the brothers of the Night’s Watch to understand him and join him. Meanwhile, Edd tells Davos he will die tonight defending Jon. Davos explains they do not have to fight alone. Edd immediately leaves to get help from the Wildings.
Next we see Ramasy Bolton saying goodbye to Myranda. He looks really upset, almost as if he was about to cry. He says his final words are almost sweet; he seems human. And then Ramsay tells a Maester to feed her to the dogs. The show cuts to Sansa and Reek trying to escape. They eventually get caught by Ramasy’s bannermen. And then Brienne of Tarth and Podrick show up to save her. Finally, Brienne keeps her oath! Extremely satisfying moment in the show. Brienne swears her sword by Sansa, and Sansa accepts her offer.
The show then cuts to King’s Landing. Cersei watches as her brother-love Jamie returns Myrcella’s dead body. There’s a close up of Cersei’s face where she looks like she’s ready to light everything on fire. You know she’s out for blood. Meanwhile, Margaery is in a cell with the Shame Septa. The High Sparrow visits Margaery in her cell and asks her to confess. Margaery refuses to confess anything.
And then there’s Dorne. Ellaria Sand murders Prince Doran as the Sand Snakes kills Trystane. Yeah, that’s about it. It looks like Dorne will be run by women from now on.
Moving on to Daenerys Targaryen with the Dothraki. Jorah Mormont and Daario Naharis find Daenery’s ring. The Dothraki men insult her, threaten to rape her, but do not harm her. They take her to the new Khal, who insults her and threatens to rape her. And then Dany reminds the Dothraki she was the wife of Khal Drogo. They apologizes to her, but tell her she will be sent to Vaes Dothrak where she’ll live out the rest of her days.
Back at the wall, Melisandre is having a crisis of faith. She strips down and for the first time ever, Melisandre takes off her necklace. We see Melisandre’s true form as an old woman. No one was expecting Melisandre to be that old. The necklace has power. Melisandre has power. She is the only hope for Jon Snow. It's not over.
