Gran Turismo Sport was initially slated to become a "title release" for the PS4 Pro console, but despite its currently broad 2017 release date window, it's still easily one of the most highly anticipated PlayStation exclusives for many fans – it's the only game that will get me to pick up PS VR, that's for sure.
Polyphony shared a brand-new 4K Gran Turismo Sport trailer at PlayStation Experience 2016 this morning and it reminds us why all good things are worth the wait. Check out the breathtaking 4K trailer below:
The game shows a lot of what we've already seen – the Mercedes-AMG GT3, BMW M6 GT3, Alfa Romeo 4C GT4, the Ford Mustang GT Rally car and more. But what's really sensational is to see these cars racing around the likes of Nürburgring in staggering HDR and 4K. Lighting effects include a stunning showcase of Tokyo at different times of the day and meticulous headlight discharge from different types of LED and HID bulbs. A short piece of footage featuring the Mazda ND Miata also displays Gran Turismo Sport's anticipated VR driving mode.
