It’s a new month once again and that means there’s a bunch of new activities arriving in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Making this month even more exciting is that it marks the first anniversary of the foundation of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force. There’s the usual Brilliant Event that’s divided into two parts and a Wizarding Weekend. A community day is also scheduled for June.
We also look into another update regarding the bug that arrived with update 2.13.0.
One Year Later
For this month’s Brilliant Event it’s all about what has happened One Year Later. So, what happened one year ago you ask? That was when Grim Fawley cast the infamous spell that is said to have started the Calamity.
Part 1 is already here as it started on June 2 and is going to last until June 9 at 2:00 PM EST. In this one, wizards need to help return the Brilliant Foundables from the Statute of Secrecy Task Force. These include Auror Harry Potter as well as Propriertor Ron Weasley.
Part 2, meanwhile, starts on June 16 at 2:00 PM EST and ends on June 23 at 2:00 PM EST. This is the same as the first part and for this week, Foundables include Senior Minister Hermione Granger and Minister for Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt.
Another Community Day
That’s right, June is offering another Community Day. Similar to May, this is also going to be a Play at Home Edition. This is going to be a one-day event held on June 13. The Community Day starts right at 12:01 AM and runs until 11:59 PM, local time. Wizards from around the world get the chance to explore the wonder that is Dumbledore’s Office. Prepare to see the Pensieve, Mirror of Erised, and even the Philosopher’s Stone.
Wizarding Weekend
Before the month ends, everybody is going to get treated to a Hogwarts School Wizarding Weekend, which starts on June 26 at 2:00 PM EST and runs until June 29 at 2:00 PM EST. In this event Foundables that can be encountered include Minerva McGonagall, the Sorting Hat, and the Portrait of Albus Dumbledore.
Update 2.13.0
We end our coverage for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite with another update on the recent patch that partially wiped player progress. Just a brief background, when update 2.13.0 was launched, a rather big problem came along with it. Developer Niantic has been doing what it can to solve the problem. Sometime last month Niantic had made some progress and you can read more about that here.
In this recent update, Niantic said that they continued to investigate the bugs that were caused by the update. The developer went on to say in a post that over the weekend their “team investigated accounts impacted by these issues and we have determined there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution to restore fragments regardless of if fragments went missing around the 2.13.0 update or after our fix.” They went to say that they are continuing to discuss “how to offset those losses with other make-good solutions and will have more information on this soon.”
