Fans of Netflix original series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt can bring a little bit of Schmidt’s (Ellie Kemper) aura into their life with a simple Google Chrome extension. Called Kimmifier, the extension was released in conjunction with the Season 2 debut of the Netflix series.
“In an age where the internet can feature some pretty grown-up stuff, it's difficult to avoid bad words and negativity from Stranger Dangers, and even tougher to keep up with all of the whack internet slang out there,” reads the description. “With the Kimmifier Chrome extension, you can make surfing the web a more comfy-wumfy experience.”
The extension replaces bad words and phrases with Kimmy Schmidt-approved alternatives. Additionally, it turns popular Internet slang into interpretations of what Schmidt would say or think. For transparency, word changes are highlighted in pink and users can see the original phrase by hovering over the text.
“Whether your coworker is being a real B-I-T of a J-E-R-K over electronic mail, or your friends on Facebook post a lot of fudged up sugar, the Kimmifier will keep it happy with a #hashbrown filtered browsing experience that is sure to make you smile until you feel better,” reads the Chrome extension.
In a world of trolls and bullies, the Kimmifier extension is bound to make the Internet a better space.
