Kingdom Hearts Unchained X requires materials like Orichaculm, Gold Ores, Mythril Shard and Mythril Stone to upgrade your Keyblades. These are the most rare materials, but they are not hard to find; Orichaculm is the most limited resource out of the four. The rest of the materials needed to upgrade your Keyblades can be found in item drops during levels associated with the weapon. For example, Three Wishes materials are generally found in Agrabah ( Aladdin ) levels.
We’ve yet to encounter a material inventory cap in Kingdom Hearts Unchained X . That said, DO NOT SELL YOUR MATERIALS. It’s not worth it. There are Moogle medals dropped during stages that you can sell for Munny. You’ll need the materials to upgrade your Keyblades; it’s better to be safe and keep things in your inventory rather than sell for Munny. Orichaculm
Unfortunately, this item drops once every 25 levels in the main quests. Only ONE Orichaculm drops at a time. Don’t you dare sell this. From our experience, you need Orichaculm to upgrade the first five Keyblades (Starlight, Treasure Trove, Lady Luck, Three Wishes, Olympia) to level 3. We’re on stage 131 and have received 5 Orichaculm so far.
Mythril Shard & Mythril Stone
If you’re patient, you can collect Mythril Shard and Mythril Stone on Saturday and Sundays during the Mythril madness. If the weekend is too far away from you, then your only other option is to turn into a completionist. Mythril Shards are usually attached to a level objective regarding lux. Usually it’s something along the lines of “collect X lux” to unlock the Mythril Shards. Mythril Stone are usually looted lux items from a level. Don’t ignore lux a.k.a glitter clouds. They’ll be good to you.
Gold Ores
Try replaying Agrabah levels. Gold Ores drop fairly often, so if you’re running low you likely didn’t spend enough time exploring the level. The last level I received a Gold Ore x1 was level 133. We’ll continue to update this guide with more levels to find Gold Ores. Sadly, Gold Ores only drop one or two at a time, so you really have to keep an eye out for them. You’ll need Gold Ores to upgrade your Keyblades.
