The last Overwatch trailer has finally arrived one day before the game goes live. “Hero” features Solider 76, the angry old man who just wants to make the world a better place, beating up on some Mexicans thugs called “Muertos.” It’s as beautiful as the last three, looking like it could have stepped directly out of a Blizzard film. Like the original trailer, it features a child in trouble and an Overwatch hero coming to her rescue. Unlike the original, we only get Solider 76, no Tracer can be seen.
There were also a few Easter eggs hidden throughout the trailer. The entire fight and story takes place on the Dorado map, with its signature payload floating truck. The small girl has a money pouch shaped like a Murloc, World of Warcraft’s cute little fish monsters. I need one of these purses – I’d buy it for my girlfriend but I would end up keeping it. The pinata Solider 76 uses to bash the gang member over the head is the big scary demon himself, Diablo, from the game of the same name.
Overwatch comes out at 7 P.M. tomorrow, and I’m going to be staring at pictures of McCree and Junkrat until then.
