Zeri was added to the League of Legends: Wild Rift roster only a couple of weeks ago, but Riot Games noticed that she has already overperformed at all ranks. Hence, she got nerfed significantly in Patch 4.0c, now available on Android and iOS.
Lost Some Spark
Since joining the Wild Rift roster, the "Spark of Zaun" Zeri has had an impressive win rate of at least 50%. According to Riot, part of the reason behind this is that players have grown accustomed to her lightning-fast play style. To give her opponents a fighting chance, the company decided to nerf some of her abilities in Patch 4.0c.
Firstl, Zeri’s basic attack damage is reduced to 8/10/12/14/16 + 100/102.5/105/107.5/110% Attack Damage. Furthermore, the attack speed conversion ratio is nerfed slightly from 60% to 50%. This means that only 50% of her attack speed above the cap will be converted to bonus AD.
Spark Surge is not only a movement ability but also makes Zeri load up a few lightning bullets after use, making her next three basic attacks pierce targets. That said, the damage ratio to subsequent enemies has decreased from 60/75/90/105% to 50/65/80/95%.
Lightning Crash, Zeri’s ultimate, puts her in an Overcharged state whenever the ability hits an enemy champion. She gains increased movement speed, faster attack speed, and bonus magic damage while she’s overcharged.
Anyway, Lightning Crash's range decreased drastically in Patch 4.0c, going from 825 to just 640. This is a significant nerf because Zeri’s ultimate now only affects a smaller area, allowing enemy champions to get away more easily by using any movement ability.
As if that’s not enough, the damage of Lightning Crash is down to 150/200/250+70% Bonus AD + 80% Ability Power as well.
