The first trailer for Logan promises a moodier, more small-scale superhero movie, blending Western and post-apocalyptic tropes. As overplayed as the post-apocalypse has become, Logan looks interesting. Or, at least, better than the previous two Wolverine movies.
The Logan trailer isn’t just about Wolverine though. It also introduces an older, frailer Professor X (Patrick Stewart’s last go-round in the role) and X-23, the Wolverine clone who, along with Logan, is one of the last remaining mutants on the planet.
In addition to the normal Logan trailer, an international red band version also premiered today. It has a few extra shots, including the most graphic Wolverine claw kill yet seen in any of the X-Men movies. Check it out:
