Two years after Mekazoo was first revealed to the general public, The Good Mood Creators are making final preparations for the platformer’s PC and console debut. And we’re getting one last look at the game before Mekazoo flies, hops and rolls its way onto PSN, Steam and Xbox Live later this month.

If you aren’t familiar with Mekazoo, it’s the debut offering from The Good Mood Creators, a team of developers that began at Digipen before opening a professional office in Seattle. Mekazoo is the team’s first project, a platformer born of a school project, that gives players control of several mechanized animals. Its mechanics and gameplay were inspired by the colorful platformers we saw back in the 80s and 90s, think Sonic or Crash Bandicoot , with each animal playing wildly different from the next. It’s a single or multiplayer experience, which TGMC estimates will take most players around two hours to complete.

“Each animal is basically its own game. And then each combination is like its own other game,” Slavin told iDigitalTimes, when we spoke to him last year. “We want to have enough animals so that you could unlock one on each world. To have that sense of progression”

Mekazoo is in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game debuts Nov. 15.
