The NBA 2K League has partnered with YouTube in order to stream live broadcasts of its games through the official NBA 2K League YouTube Channel. In addition to live streaming, the channel also plans to upload highlight videos.
Overall, YouTube is expected to livestream at least 230 games combined. NBA was the first professional sports league to partner with YouTube and launch its own channel back in 2005. The NBA was also the first one to be part of YouTube’s “Claim Your Content” program in 2007. It was in 2006 when WNBA launched its own YouTube Channel, with the NBA G League following by 2008. The official YouTube Channel of the NBA 2K League was launched in 2018. YouTube TV made a milestone in 2018, as it became the first presenting partner of both the NBA Finals and WNBA Finals. To date, all NBA-related YouTube channels have combined views of at least 5.6 billion.
The second season of the NBA 2K League started last April 2 and runs for 18 weeks, ending with the Finals on August 3.
