A new update for the early access version of "Assetto Corsa EVO" finally adds a car customization feature.
While the racing game's launch day did not go extremely well for developer Kunos Simualzioni, it has been working hard to address various issues that players have been experiencing.
One major bug at launch prevented players from accessing 14 of the game's 20 total vehicles.
Adding Car Customization
They were also unable to access "Assetto Corsa EVO's" Driving Academy mode and the highly anticipated car customization feature. It was found that the major modes for the racing game require players to be connected to the internet at all times.
This is something that has been proven to be unpopular among a vast majority of people in the video game industry. This was made even worse as the issue with "Assetto Corsa EVO" prevented players from connecting to Kunos Simualzioni's servers, according to Traxion.
The studio has since released a workaround patch that allowed players to freely use all of the 20 cars. Kunos Simualzioni also followed this up with the release of an additional fix that unlocks car customization for players.
The new mode would let players change their vehicles' paint color, wheel style, and many other exterior items such as brake calliper colors and spoilers.
There are also changeable interior options such as gearbox tunnel leather, stitching color, seat belt color, and many more.
Assetto Corsa EVO Early Access
So far, there are only certain parts that players can change on specific cars but existing options are already a win for fans of the franchise.
On top of the visual changes, players can also alter their cars' engine and specifications to create their own unique machine, GTPlanet said.
Game director Davide Brivio previously revealed that each car in "Assetto Corsa EVO" will have all their configurations and engines that can be found in any dealership available for players.
It was something that got fans hyped up and is a very anticipated aspect of any racing game.
The early access of the game currently features five tracks, 20 cars, Free Practice, Quick Race, as well as virtual reality and triple screen support.
In The Driving Academy, players can take some time to improve their skills and earn licenses to unlock faster cars and special events.
The developer also released a roadmap that gave fans of the franchise an idea of what they could expect moving forward through the early access version.
It included various new content that are planned to be introduced to the game in the coming months, according to Dual Shockers.
