The last Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows clip, which premiered at the Kids Choice Awards, didn’t show any footage of Stephen Amell’s Casey Jones. Luckily, the Arrow actor just confirmed that Monday’s new TMNT trailer will give us another look at not only Casey Jones, but also April O'Neil (Megan Fox). Amell also announced the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 trailer drops Monday morning.
The 15-second teaser, via Twitter , shows Michelangelo devouring a huge slice of pizza as April and Casey watch him in disgust.
During WonderCon, Stephen Amell revealed at the beginning of the film that Casey Jones is working as a corrections officer and is reluctant to join the TMNT . Hopefully Monday’s trailer will hint on what kind of alien threat the turtles are up against and how April and Casey are going to help. Right now, it looks like Dimension X warlord, Krang, will be the turtle’s main baddie.
Will Arnett will reprise his role as cameraman Vernon Fenwick. Brian Tee will make his debut as The Shredder, Fred Armisen as Krang, Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman, Gary Anthony Williams as Bebop, and Stephen Farrelly as Rocksteady. Johnny Knoxville (Leonardo), Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), and Noel Fisher (Donatello) will all return as voice actors.
The stakes are high for Out of the Shadows seeing the the 2014 TMNT movie was just ‘meh.’ We’ll have to wait until Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows hits theaters on June 3rd to see if Nickelodeon ups the ante for for the sequel. Stephen Amell trading in his green mask and bow for pair of rollerblades and a hockey stick will surely catch the attention of at least a few more fans.
