Overwatch 2 Venture Hero Guide: Abilities, Playstyle, and More

This Overwatch 2 hero's guide helps players understand Venture's abilities and ultimate to utilize her potential in every team fight. Blizzard

Overwatch 2 Season 10 earlier this year introduced the hero Venture, who is the first new damage hero that has been added to the game since it was launched.

Venture players have a lot of high-damage options available, which all work best when you are in close range of your enemies.

If you master this new hero, you will be able to survive in the heat of battle but have emergency movement abilities to survive and fight again later on.

Venture Hero Guide

This guide will explain all of Venture's abilities, what playstyle suits her best, and many more tips and tricks to help you conquer the battlefield.

The first thing you need to know about Venture is that her primary weapon is a drill that fires short-range explosives that blow up after they travel a certain distance, according to GameSpot.

With her drill, Venture gets a slightly stronger melee attack compared to other Overwatch 2 characters but it gives her a longer animation. This character is also capable of drilling into the ground to become invulnerable and will deal damage when they resurface.

Talking about the hero's abilities; the first thing to note is her passive, Explorer's Resolve, which grants you temporary shields whenever you use any of your abilities. Her melee attack, Clobber, makes Venture deal more damage to enemies, said The Gamer.

Venture's first ability is Burrow, which gives you four seconds to move freely underground and you can hold the primary fire button to begin charging an attack. A longer charge will let you deal more damage to a larger area.

Getting Up Close and Personal

This Overwatch 2 hero's second ability is known as Drill Dash, which pushes enemies back and deals damage to them at the same time. When you attack an enemy with this ability, there is initial damage followed by continuous damage for a duration.

Finally, Venture's ultimate ability known as Tectonic Shock transforms her primary fire into four shockwaves that deal massive damage. Enemies that you hit with the shockwaves will be slightly launched into the air.

Due to how the hero works, she is best used to get up close and personal with enemies to deal massive damage. However, you need to be careful of when you actually engage as time your cooldowns to ensure that you survive or at least help your team win the fight.

Being invulnerable to damage while underground with her Burrow ability lets Venture come in and deal damage before quickly vanishing to fight another day, according to GameRant.
