Palworld's latest Sakurajima update added a ton of new features, including the game's second raid boss, Blazamut Ryu.
Raid bosses in the game are powerful creatures that can destroy your base in an instant if you come unprepared. Fortunately, this guide helps players learn what they need to do to ensure that they beat these bosses and get their loot.
Blazamut Ryu is a raid boss that is a Dragon and Fire variant of the regular Blazamut Pal. Having two types makes it harder for players to deal with it by using its weaknesses. Furthermore, the boss has powerful attacks that can make quick work of under-leveled Pals.
Starting the Raid
In order to fight Blazamut Ryu, you need to acquire four pieces of the boss' Slab Fragments. These can be obtained as rewards for clearing a dungeon in the new Sakurajima region. You then use them on your Workbench or Production Line, according to IGN.
After getting the Slab, you then place it on your Summoning Altar so you can call the Blazamut Ryu boss to your base. One recommendation is to make an empty base to fight the boss because it would most likely destroy everything in it.
Preparing for the Boss
Blazamut Ryu is a level 55 boss that has a massive 512,680 health pool. This means that even with strong attacks, you will need some time to take it down. The boss itself has powerful moves that you should try to avoid.
You can boost your Pals' stats using Pal Souls at the Status of Power to make them stronger before the boss fight. You should also wear some accessories to make yourself last longer against Blazamut Ryu.
Some of the recommended items are Life Pendant, Attack Pendant, and Defense Pendant. You should also be wearing the highest tier armor that you can craft and wear, said TheGamer.
Recommended Pals To Bring
While any strong Pal can be used to beat the raid boss, some Pals are actually more useful against Blazamut Ryu. The first thing you should try to go for is using level 55 Pals and above.
Water-type Pals are recommended, such as Jormuntide but Pals like Azurobe and Suzaku Aqua will also work. You should note that the boss has a second phase where its element will shift to Electric.
This means that you should also fill your base with Ground Pals to make up for this portion of the raid. Recommended Pals include Anubis and Warsect but Menasting will also work, according to Kotaku.
Blazamut Ryu Rewards
After beating the boss, you will get a lot of awesome loot, including Training Crystals. The two major rewards you can get are a Huge Dragon Egg as well as a Blazamut Ryu (Ultra) Slab. The egg is guaranteed to hatch into a Blazamut Ryu that will be loyal to you.
The slab is used to summon a stronger version of the boss that has twice the amount of health as the base version. It has the same time limit and attack patterns so you can use the same strategy to beat it.
