A PlayStation VR price and release date announcements are expected at a newly announced Game Developers Conference event. Sony has sent out invitations to a PlayStation VR press event at this year’s GDC in San Francisco. This event is likely where the new VR headset will get an announced price and release date.
The PlayStation VR event will be start at 5:00 p.m. EST on March 15. The invitation mentions that there will be a presentation, followed by hands-on demos.
Since we have seen the official price for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive already, it makes sense that Sony finally pull back the curtain on their VR headset. Seeing as how Sony has already claimed there is no delay into this Fall, the release date needs to be getting announced soon.
