Some Gen 2 Pokémon have been added to Pokémon Go, with Togepi and Pichu (along with a special Christmas Pikachu ) as the headline Pokémon.

With the first wave of Generation 2 Pokémon coming to Pokémon Go, trainers will want to know how much candy to scavenge to evolve these baby Pokémon into some of the Gen 1 Pokémon that most trainers already own.

In the case of baby Pokémon like Smoochum, Magby, Tyrogue and Elekid who all evolve into Pokémon that aren’t that common, you’ll want to hatch these Pokémon to complete your Pokédex.

However, Smoochum, Magby, Tyrogue and Elekid have not yet been officially confirmed as being a part of the Gen 2 Pokémon Go update but we will verify as soon as possible.

While some of the amounts are unverified, here is a list of the Pokémon with the amount of candy needed to evolve them. Our best guesses as to how much candy is needed to evolve these Gen 2 Pokémon will have an asterisk as we extrapolate based on how much candy middle evolutions need to evolve and other factors.

For example, Pikachu needs 50 candy to evolve into Raichu, so its pre-evolve form, Pichu, will only need 25.

We will continue to update with verified amounts as soon as we learn more.

Pichu - 25 Candy

Igglybuff - 25 Candy

Cleffa - 25 Candy

Elekid - 25 Candy

Magby - 25 CandyTogepi - 50 Candy (from the trailer)

Smoochum - 50 Candy*
