The Mega Sableye Raid returns to Pokemon GO. It gives players a chance to battle and capture this powerful Dark- and Ghost-type Pokemon.

The Halloween season is the perfect time for this particular raid boss. This is because it gives out spooky vibes. Mega Sableye is a powerful raid boss that you need to prepare for. You need to prepare accordingly before you fight it.

This guide helps you understand Mega Sableye's weaknesses. It also details what you should prepare for. This article has some recommendations on what Pokemon you should use.

Mega Sableye's Weaknesses

Being a Dark- and Ghost-type Pokemon, Mega Sableye is weak against Fairy-type attacks and Pokemon in general, according to Screen Rant. You should also avoid using Dark-, Fighting-, Normal-, and Bug-type moves against this particular raid boss.

Pokemon Recommendations

There are a lot of different Pokemon that you can use against Mega Sableye that will be particularly strong against it. These include Mega Gardevoir and Enamorus, which both have the Fairy type.

If you do not have any strong Fairy-type Pokemon, you can also use generally powerful ones such as Mega Rayquaza and Xurkitree. The Pokemon that you use should optimally have their most powerful moves, including Dazzling Gleam and Dragon Ascent.

Fighting With Other Trainers

It is highly recommended to battle Mega Sableye as a party of at least three Trainers to ensure that you can beat it. If you do not have the top counters for this raid boss or any maxed-out CP Pokemon, you should get more Trainers to help you out, Bleeding Cool said.

You should also use the Circle Lock Technique so that you can guarantee Great or Excellent throws if you want to capture Mega Sableye. Using Golden Razz Berries also increases your chances of catching this raid boss.

If you get a Shiny Mega Sableye, though, you should use a Pinap Berry to get more Candy from the raid to power up your own Pokemon. This can be relatively common as the shiny chance for Mega Sableye is roughly one in 60.

Other Tips

Some people are actually not that fond of using Mega Sableye in Raids as it is generally a more defensive type of Pokemon. But its dual Dark and Ghost typing makes it a very useful Pokemon in the game, especially when it is at Mega Level 3.

For various events, such as the upcoming Halloween event in-game, the ability to get boosted experience, Candy, and Candy XL for both types is very handy.

This is because there are a lot of Pokemon of either type that spawn during this season, according to Esports.
