The Pokémon Go Tracking feature was the most beloved part of the mobile game, however, after a few weeks of bugginess when the game first launched, Niantic decided to remove it until there was a fix.
After a few months of no tracking feature (which was a huge point of Pokémon Go to begin with) Niantic released a beta version of the new tracking feature to the Bay Area where PokeStops will show what Pokémon appear there.
But it seems that beta won’t be coming to the rest of the world anytime soon as Niantic confirmed to Polygon that it has no plans yet to bring the beta of the new tracking feature outside of the Bay Area.
This won’t make Pokémon Go players happy, who have resorted to using Tracking Sites like PokeTracker and others to find the Pokémon they desire but with Niantic shutting down these sites left and right, Pokémon Go players are only going to become more frustrated with the lack of a proper tracking feature.
Niantic has done a good job of balancing Gym Battles and helping trainers get the Pokémon Candy needed to evolve some of the harder Pokémon to catch with the Buddy Feature but a tracking feature will definitely help bring back players who may have stopped after the initial craze died.
When the tracking feature returns for Pokémon Go we will update.
So when do you think Pokémon Go will have the tracking feature restored? Are you still playing or are you waiting for this feature to return? Let us know in the comments section below.
