A brand new Pokémon trailer was released on the Japanese YouTube channel, and Pokémon fans think it means information on a new game is coming but that could be far from the truth.
If you subscribe to the Japanese Pokémon Company’s YouTube account you’ll see some interesting videos, from Pokémon television shows to commercials and previews to the latest episode of the Pokémon anime. But this new Pokémon video can only be described as mysterious and weird.
Check it out below.
Now, there’s a lot going on in this new Pokémon video. Obviously there’s an extraterrestrial feel to it but what does it mean? And does it tease new information for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon ? Well, to be frank, it doesn’t mean anything.
According to Serebii’s Joe Merrick, these types of videos are par for the course when it comes to Pokémon Daisuki Club , a fan club akin to the Pokémon Trainer Club here in the West. And these types of videos are exclusive to the site and YouTube channel.
It’s just a fun little video meant for the members of the Pokémon Daisuki Club, but it seems that Pokémon fans want to think that this video confirms more information on Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon is coming, or that the Gen 4 remakes are confirmed, or some other crazy announcement is on the way
Sorry to burst your bubbles, but Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon information will come in the pages of CoroCoro or from the official Pokémon site.
Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon is not technically a sequel to Sun and Moon, but a story retold in Alola with changes to parts of the journey. The official game announcement trailer confirmed that there will be new Pokémon, but that probably means new Alola Forms instead of actual new Pokémon.
The only differences between Sun and Moon and Ultra counterparts confirmed from the announcement are the presence of new Pokémon-specific Z-Crystals for Mimikyu, Lycanroc and Togedamaru. Solgaleo and Lunala will also receive new forms that look like fusions with Necrozma.
Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will release for Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 17.
So what do you think of the fun Pokémon trailer released on YouTube? Which version of the game will you pick up? Let us know in the comments section below.
