Pokémon didn’t have a large presence at this year’s Nintendo E3 presentation, but The Pokémon Company CEO did reveal that a Pokémon RPG will be coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Not much was revealed during the E3 2017 presentation, but TPC CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara gave a quick update on the Pokémon titles coming to the Nintendo Switch, which include Pokken Tournament DX and the aforementioned Pokémon RPG.
The wording of the announcement means that the Nintendo Switch Pokémon game will be a core Pokémon game and possibly a brand new region (or the long-awaited Gen 4 remakes).
So when can Pokémon fans expect the Pokémon RPG for the Nintendo Switch? While no release date or year was given, Ishihara assured that it would arrive in the coming years.
The recent Pokémon Nintendo Direct revealed a brand new Pokémon 3DS adventure in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon , which left a lot of Pokémon fans salty over not getting a Pokémon for Nintendo Switch announcement.
Recently, GameFreak posted job ads for developers who can work on console level graphics, so the signs for a Pokémon Switch game were already there.
It’ll be a long wait for the Pokémon Switch game, but fans still have Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon to look forward to.
