Another week, another Pokémon Sun and Moon leak/rumor. This time, the now infamous Chinese Riddler has a brand new post that potentially leaks the entire Alola Dex with possible typing combinations for each, including the starters.
While the Chinese Riddler’s post is entirely in Chinese, the good folks over at 4Chan have translated the post, revealing it to be essentially one giant equation that tallies how many Pokémon of each type will be in Sun and Moon.
Take a look at the screenshot below and we will dive into what this actually means.
So, as you can see from the screenshot each Pokémon will have a designated number next to it. For Rowlett, the number three is present, meaning there are three Pokémon in that line. This helps Pokémon fans determine whether some Pokémon will evolve or have a pre-evolution that wasn’t revealed already.
The Chinese Riddler goes on to include Pokémon Forms in the equation, which are the Alola Forms.
So what does it all mean? Well, according to the Chinese Riddler the number of new Pokémon in Sun and Moon will be more than what was added in X and Y. It also would seem to confirm that Rowlet will keep its Grass and Flying typing as it evolves. As for Litten and Popplio, it either means that they stay Fire and Water, respectively, or the Chinese Riddler is unsure whether they will receive another typing.
The popular theory is that Litten will eventually get a Dark typing and the Chinese Riddler does have room for up to six Dark-type Pokémon. Popplio is believed to gain the Fairy typing and the Chinese Riddler’s equation gives the Alola Dex five more Fairy-type Pokémon.
What I’m personally excited for are the Rock-type Pokémon. According to this, there will be five more new Rock-types added to Sun and Moon, which gives room for two Fossil Pokémon lines and a third Fossil Pokémon similar to the Kabutops, Omastar and Aerodactyl lines from Red and Blue. But at this point, that’s pure speculation.
So what do you think about this new Sun and Moon leak/rumor? What are you most excited to see? Let us know in the comments section below.
