Excitement surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is quickly escalating as reports indicate the smartphone, which has not yet been officially announced by its manufacturer is already available for preorder in some markets. According to SamMobile , retailers in Dubai are accepting Galaxy Note 7 preorders for AED 500; however, said preorders do not appear to be online.
There is already also news about Galaxy Note 7 preorders in the U.S. Samsung will host an Unpacked launch event Aug. 2 to showcase its new smartphone. But SamMobile also claims T-Mobile will open preorders for the Galaxy Note 7 a week ahead of its launch date. Preorders may being early so that the smartphone can ship to consumers by Aug. 2.
Previous reports have already suggested the Galaxy Note 7 may go on sale the same day it's announced, with Korean publications detailing that Samsung is working to get supplies in place for seamless Aug. 2 availability.
With all of the hype leading up to the Galaxy Note 7 launch, it's not surprising Samsung wants the device out as soon as possible. The manufacturer already bumped its Galaxy Note launch window up from the September/October timeframe to mid-August last year. The 2015 Galaxy Note 5 was released one week after it’s New York City launch. Preorders were available just hours after the device was announced.
There are many clues the Samsung wants a speedy release for the Galaxy Note 7. The device is already approved by the FCC for use on the four major carriers Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. Reports also indicate that T-Mobile will offer a buy-one-get-one deal on the Galaxy Note 7 upon launch. There is currently no word on what the Galaxy Note 7 will cost in the U.S.; however, we expect a price between $700 and $800, depending on the carrier.
While some may be excited for the Galaxy Note 7 iris scanner and S-Pen updates, others (like us) are excited for the many color options expected for the flagship. There are already black, silver, blue and pink color options expected. A recent leak also revealed the device will be available in gold.
Currently there is no word on whether any of the color options will be specific to certain markets. In the past, the manufacturer typically stuck to black and white color options at launch, while many European and Asian markets in particular got more unique color options for Galaxy smartphones. Alternate color options often didn’t come to the U.S. until months after an initial launch and through exclusive carriers, typically AT&T or Sprint. However, more recent devices, such as the Galaxy S7, have been available in the U.S. in fancier colors like silver. We’re holding out hope that T-Mobile will offer the Coral Blue Galaxy Note 7 (hint hint).
