There have been several image leaks of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, but now video leaks are surfacing for the 2016 flagship. Two sources have shared videos of the Galaxy Note 7 in action. On Thursday, the YouTube channel TechTastic shared a video of the Galaxy Note 7 being unlocked with its iris scanner feature.
The feature is much as it has been described in other leaks. Bringing up the device’s lock screen brings up a camera app, which scans the user's eyes. Once authenticated, the device unlocks to its home screen. The action is rather seamless and rapidly unlocks the device.
While the Galaxy Note 7 iris scanner remains unconfirmed, there is considerable evidence of its existence, beyond the recent video. Details including patent filings, image leaks and information about the camera company creating the iris scanner module for Samsung have all surfaced in recent months. Most obvious to us is circular icon on the press invite for Samsung’s upcoming launch event, which resembles the iris of an eye.
Earlier this week, the YouTube channel MobileFunTV shared a video of someone playing around on the Galaxy Note 7 home screen and opening applications. The handset is large and rectangular, featuring a dual edge curved display. This makes it pretty identifiable as the Galaxy Note 7, despite the smartphone not yet being released.
Other recent Galaxy Note 7 leaks include a press image , showing the device in Coral Blue and revealing its USB Type-C port, a prototype image of a possible flat screen Galaxy Note 7 and a video of the USB Type-C charging cable intended to ship with the device.
