The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is back on sale in Korea as of Oct. 1. The smartphone has sold more than 30,000 units since Saturday, according to the Korea Herald .
This is one of the first markets to officially resume sales of the Galaxy Note 7 after its recall. Official relaunches for other markets are expected in the coming weeks, the manufacturer said in a statement.
While several carriers in the U.S. have been exchanging and selling new Galaxy Note 7 models since Sept. 21, reports indicate the smartphone won’t officially relaunch in the U.S. until Oct. 21. Reports indicate the Galaxy Note 7 will go in sale in the U.K. Oct. 28 , while there are claims the Galaxy Note 7 may launch in India on Oct. 7. There are many markets where the Galaxy Note 7 was recalled before its initial launch.
New Galaxy Note 7 handsets feature a green battery status icon to differentiate them from older models, which have a white battery icon.
