Samsung has sent out cancellation emails to those lucky enough to have got an order through while a 40” 2016 4K TV was listed for $100 on their online store. Calling it a “pricing error,” Samsung apologized for the “inconvenience” in the email and has given everyone who ordered the TV a $50 eCertificate as a consolation prize.
Unfortunately, the Samsung online store is pretty pricey, and $50 won’t get you very far. If you’re wondering what you can buy though, iDigitalTimes has come up with three things to consider.
Samsung Gear VR ($99.99)
Granted, the Samsung Gear VR is $100, but that means it’s half off with the $50. The VR headset is only compatible with certain Samsung phones, although it’s pretty darn cool if your device works with it. The Gear VR is closest thing you can get to an Oculus Rift without dropping thousands on a computer (and then the headset itself).
Samsung Level U Wireless Headphones ($47.99)
Necklace-style wireless Bluetooth headphones, the Samsung Level U Wireless Headphones are worth considering spending your voucher on. They have a 10 hour battery life when playing music, and 500 hours in standby mode. They support phone calls and have a music controller built in.
PYLE Pro DJ Laptop Tripod Adjustable Stand For Notebook Computer ($59.99)
The PYLE Pro DJ Laptop Tripod Adjustable Stand will cost you an extra $10, but who doesn’t want a bandstand for their computer? Besides, it’ll come in handy for putting your laptop next to your bed since you’ll still be watching Netflix on your computer, instead of a 4K TV.
