Shenmue 3 Kickstarter backers were the first to see new screenshots of Yu Suzuki’s upcoming game. The screenshots are “work in progress” images to show backers just how far they’ve come since the Kickstarter closed in June 2015. None of the images feature Shenmue 3 ’s protagonist Ryo Hazuki, but you do see the back of Shenhua Ling. Unfortunately, there’s no context of where the game is set or why Shenhua is alone. Check out the Shenmue 3 screenshots below. Suzuki has yet to announce Shenmue 3 ’s release date, but the game is expected to launch some time in 2017.
