Sims 4 is coming to consoles! EA has confirmed it will not release for the Switch, but definitely PS4 and Xbox One. The base game, Deluxe Party Edition and Perfect Patio Stuff will be available at launch. We’re hoping Deluxe Party means some of the objects from the Luxury Party Stuff Pack will be included, but we’ll see. Our fingers are crossed, which is why we left that stuff pack off the list of the DLCs we want EA to port over to consoles first. We also left off Perfect Patio , because it’s already confirmed.

1: City Living (Expansion Pack)

This one takes the number one spot, easily, because of one thing: it’s fun. Yeah, we’re asking kind of a lot for this to be released first because it’s got sooo much stuff in it. The San Myshuno city graphics are insane, but it also made the game twice as fun and gave it some much needed character. Choose from one of three penthouse suites and loads of apartments. For those who don’t want to spend time building lots from scratch, which is kind of annoying on Xbox or PS4, this one's for you. This EP actually forces you to play the game as is. You will not get bored, trust.

2: Spa Day (Game Pack)

This may be the most concise, creative, and well thought-out DLCs out for The Sims 4. It brings the Wellness skill, which is really unique and cool. There's tons of new fashionable comfy clothes. We get a sauna, mediation, Sims can get massages, a chill, New Age radio station. It’s just as relaxing to play as it sounds, and super entertaining to watch Sims who should not be doing yoga, do yoga.

3: Parenthood (Game Pack)

While City Living is fun, Parenthood made the game so so hard. Toddlers are way more complicated than ever before and this game pack makes parenting a living hell, just like real life. Your choices as a mom or dad have consequences on your kids, and teenagers act out like never before. But, this also means when you raise them right, it’s way more rewarding. This game pack added some much needed generational gameplay, making the experience more worthwhile and meaningful. You’ll actually want to play your Sims until they die.

4: Get Together (Expansion Pack)

Clubs are awesome. It’s a great way for Sims not to just sit in the house all day and build skills. Get up, get out Simmers! So many new items, 350+ build mode items and 120+ CAS items. Windenburg… probably the best overall world in the game, with seven neighborhoods. Plus, it goes perfectly with like every other expansion pack. If there’s a new skill, chances are you can form a club around it. Such as the “Zen” club. Don’t miss that occasional party in the Ancient Ruins...you can even woohoo in the bush.

5: Outdoor Retreat (Game Pack)

Just like Spa Day and City Living , this made the game a lot more fun. The campfires are amazing. Who doesn’t enjoy a burnt hot dog? The tents and outdoor furniture are so cute! Granite falls is a nice woodsy, neighborhood where you can fish and look at creepy insects and stargaze with your crush. The new camping gear is also adorable. Your Sim can even take up herbalism. This pack is for hipsters in the making. Tons of new rustic build mode items are perfect for a cabin in the woods and provide some contrast to the rest of the game. Your rural getaway is calling!

Honorable Mentions

While Get To Work isn’t nearly as exciting as the other game packs, it’s probably the most necessary as far as gameplay goes. We get three active careers: Detective, Doctor, Scientist. Also, create a retail business, such as a Spa or Art gallery, bookstore, bakery, you name it. Oddly enough, this EP also brings back Aliens.

We also want Romantic Garden, just for the outdoor decorations, but mostly to make the builders happy. This pack brings so much green! Green-thumbed Sims will love this pack just as much as Sims looking for romance.

Dine Out and Vampires are both a bit of a distraction, but in a good way. Get carried away running a restaurant from the ground up. It’s a great side hustle and depends on features from Get To Work . Plus, it adds tons, tons, of new food to the game for all the ‘foodie’ sims out there. Vampires, is also just freaking awesome. They are pretty much scary superhoes. Watch them travel at lightning speed and teleport around town. The interactions between non-Vampire sims and Vampires is actually extremely funny, but definitely not necessary at first. Though, after two years, PC gamers welcomed it.

Cool Kitchen and Movie Hangout were also decent stuff packs. A decked out kitchen would certainly compliment Get Together and Dine Out, but when it comes down to it, those objects aren’t necessary to add right away to the base game. Movie Hangout also gave us some bright, fun furniture and a huge TV screen with a popcorn maker, but again, not completely necessary at launch. These however, were two of the better Stuff Packs after Perfect Patio, of course.
