Sims 4: Jungle Adventure is confirmed to release Feb. 27. The upcoming game pack will introduce the world of Selvadorada, where Sims can learn new traditional dance, find ancient relics, taste new food, explore tombs, dig for treasure, meet a skeleton, discover bees and spiders, and possibly even die if they aren’t careful.
The full trailer teases a breadth of intriguing gameplay, including an archeology skill and a yet-to-be-revealed aspiration. Selvadorada is a vacation world, which unfortunately means you won’t be able to permanently settle in this rural town. However, you won’t have to pitch tents and say goodnight in a sleeping bag, either.
“There are assorted local Selvadoradian villas to rent on the outskirts of the dense jungle. They're warm, furnished places. Almost like you're using Airbnb to stay in someone's real home,” Sim Guru Ninja said on Twitter.
Regarding exploration, the game pack’s overall theme, adventures won’t be a one-time gimmick. Layouts will change, traps will randomize and loot can be different.
“There's definitely reasons to return and explore more!” SimGuruNinja added.
We’ll have to wait until Friday’s 2 p.m. EST live stream to learn more about the gameplay features in Selvadorada, but we spotted a new open window in the trailer, which would be brand-new to the game. There’s new tattoos, ‘shower in a can,’ a grill, water fountain, talking statues, new radio stations, types of fish and harvestables. What’s more, mystical curses, traps and deadly bugs appear to be the three new death types.
Until we have more specifics, it’s easier to see than explain. Take a look at the trailer as well and some screenshots in the gallery above. What are you most excited for? Share your thoughts in the comments.
