There are a lot of ways to make good money in "Stardew Valley," but one of the best methods is selling valuable goods and commodities, such as Truffle Oil.
There are a lot of items that you can sell, but some are worth a lot more than others and should therefore be prioritized. One of the highest-selling items in the game, Truffle Oil, can sometimes be a pain to get consistently when you're trying to make some serious cash.
This "Stardew Valley" guide helps players learn about getting this highly valuable commodity to supply their financial needs.
What is Truffle Oil?
First off, you should know that Truffle Oil is an artisan good that "Stardew Valley" players can sell in exchange for a ton of cash. Any Truffle Oil that you have can be sold off for 1,065g, which is not a small amount for a singular item, according to The Gamer.
Another use for Truffle Oil is for the "Mayor's Need" quest that requires players to deliver the item to Mayor Lewis. For completing this particular quest, you will receive a reward of 750g as well as one friendship heart.
How To Get Truffle Oil
Despite its high value, Truffle Oil is relatively easy to make in "Stardew Valley" with the use of its primary ingredient, Truffles. You also need an Oil Maker to process the mushrooms into oil. The first thing you need are pigs, which will forage Truffles for you.
If you are not yet the proud owner of a pig in the game, you can simply buy one from Marnie's Ranch after you upgrade to a Deluxe barn. One single pig costs 16,000g and is considered an investment for its subsequent yield of Truffles.
After you have pigs on your farm, they will start foraging for Truffles while roaming the outside. The mushrooms are randomly dug up by happy pigs while they wander, and each animal can get a varying number of Truffles every day, Dexerto said.
You should keep in mind that pigs will only be able to forage for Truffles if they wander outside. This means that when they remain indoors, during winter or on rainy days, they will not be able to supply you with these items.
In order to process the Truffles you get into Truffle Oil, you need to have an Oil Maker, which is available after you reach Farming Level 8. To craft one of these machines, you need 50 Slime, 20 Hardwood, and one Gold Bar.
Other Tips
The base value for Truffle Oil in "Stardew Valley" is 1,065g, but you can increase it by advancing your Artisan profession. On the other hand, Iridium-quality Truffles will sell for 1,250g without needing to be processed into Truffle Oil.
If you are able to get the Artisan skill, you will be able to craft Truffle Oil that will sell for up to 1,491g each, according to Game Rant.
