Marvel Movies Will Reference ‘Daredevil’ ‘Agents of SHIELD’ And Other TV Shows, Eventually

When will see a real mix of Marvel tv and movies? Marvel Studios

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a thing of beauty. What Marvel/Disney has done to connect so many characters and projects together like what Marvel Comics does is something that other studios are trying to emulate in their own way, like the DC Movie universe and even a monster universe.

But one thing that Marvel Studios has yet to bring into the fold of its popular and financially successful movies is the television arm of Marvel/Disney.

Shows like Agents of SHIELD and the Netflix series Daredevil, Jessica Jones and others have had no mention in the movies, while the television series have made mention to Captain America, Thor and the Avengers on more than one occasion. And while Marvel likes to remind everyone that their movies and television shows are connected, this lack of connectedness is apparent.

However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige spoke a bit about whether the Marvel television shows will be referenced in any upcoming movies.

"I think that's inevitable at some point as we're plotting the movies going forward and they're doing the shows," he explained during the Age of Ultron event at the Hero Complex Gallery in Los Angeles on Sept. 29th -- via IGN .

Feige went on to say that the way the television shows differ from the movies in terms of production is a big reason why we haven’t seen Daisy Johnson in Age of Ultron or anything like that.

"It's easier for them. They're more nimble and faster and produce things quicker than we do, which is one of the main reasons you see the repercussions of Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron in the show," Feige said. "Going forward and certainly as they begin to do more shows and cast them with such great actors as they have -- particularly Daredevil -- that that may occur. A lot of it is by the time we start doing a movie, they'd be midway through a season; by the time it comes out they'd be done with the second, starting the third season. Finding timing on that is not always easy."

Jessica Jones is set to release on Netflix in November while the third season of Agents of SHIELD just premiered. Daredevil is set for Spring 2016 while the next Marvel Studios movie, Captain America: Civil War is set to release in May 2016.

There doesn’t seem to be much time for the television series to get some movie love but there’s always a chance we may see it especially with high profile characters like the Kingpin being involved in the newly acquired Spider-Man’s life.

When he was asked about the Spider-Man movie and Kingpin potentially being involved Feige said, "I don't know, probably. That would probably be the cool thing to do. That particular scenario has not come up yet."

So what do you think will be the perfect scenario that will have the television series characters reference or even appear in a Marvel Studios movie? Sound off in the comments section below.
