According to a purported “leak” from the Star Wars: Episode 8 production the official subtitle for the next Star Wars will be Tale of the Jedi Temple. That’s right, Star Wars: Episode 8 Tale of the Jedi Temple. STAR WARS: EPISODE 8 TALE OF THE JEDI TEMPLE. Another leak—this one from a source leaking from between my ass cheeks—has confirmed that the next Star Wars will actually be an episode of Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, so they might switch the “Tale” to “Tail,” and call it a squeakquel too.
An image of a promotional something or other featuring the new title was posted on Reddit and quickly tore up r/StarWarsLeaks. Soon enough MoviePilot and International Business Times UK picked it up, because when it comes to Star Wars leaks there’s an obvious incentive for journalistic outfits to put on their gullible helmets and ignore that nagging little voice that shouts, “this is the fakest leak yet and I survived that day people posted a Captain America fan edit as a leaked Civil War trailer!”

The “leaked” Episode 8 subtitle logo isn’t just phony because it looks like it came off the office laserjet. Nor is it because the starfield looks like a 1992 screensaver, and nothing like the Force Awakens logo starfield. Tale of the Jedi Temple won’t be the Episode 8 subtitle, because Rogue One: A Star Wars Story exists. Tales and Stories? Is this a Wishbone marathon?
Tales will forever be associated with fantasy and stories for children. Plus, Tale of the Jedi Temple would suggest a story being told , as if the entire movie is just Luke Skywalker and Rey around a campfire talking about the original Jedi Temple like they accidentally fell into Kill Bill: Vol. 2.
