So… there are a couple observations to make about Rick and Morty Season 2 from this most bizarre of all previews.

New Rick and Morty Characters

Glaxo sure sounds like a new alien character. Whoever Glaxo turns out to be, he might very well be the person behind Jerry’s transformation into Worm Jerry.

Rick and Morty and Family

While there’s not a whole of detail in this inside glimpse at Rick and Morty Season 2 from Dan Harmon, it seems clear that the family will be more involved in the science fiction hijinks. Both Harmon and Justin Roiland, the other Rick and Morty co-creator, have previously said that this would happen with Season 2:

“So having learned that from Season 1, I think we’ve been a little more fancy-free about just saying ‘Well, Beth and Jerry, they go into outer space in this episode because of this reason. and meanwhile Rick and Morty have to stay home and work on something in the garage.’”

Rick Catchphrases in Season 2

One of the few video previews released for Rick and Morty Season 2 is an animatic montage of Rick catchphrases:

“Fuck” isn’t one of them. But maybe Rick will be carrying over his catchphrase from the end of Rick and Morty Season 1: “I don’t give a fuck is my new catchphrase! Fuck yooooouu.”

Of course, Rick and Morty is more than familiar with swearing outside of the strict confines of a catchphrase.

Rick and Morty Season 2 - More Like the Original Short?

Rick and Morty began as a short for the Channel 101 competition called “The Real Animated Adventures of Doc and Mharti.” You can watch it right here. It was basically an excuse to have Marty from Back to the Future suck Doc Brown’s balls. It looks like the ol’ dirty dick days are back, because Rick and Morty Season 2 has a full two frames of Rick’s penis.
